Initiating meeting
Join us for our initiating meeting and become a driving force at ocsaf. Whether it is to have your ideas heard, to generally support and come to events organized by ocsaf, or for joining us as a volunteer, be sure to come and bring a friend along with you. Interested? Drop us a line and we'll let you know the location (cafe or other in central Berlin) a week ahead of time.
About us
ocsaf (ordinary people, creatives and scientists against fascism) is an international alliance that seeks to organize public events, artwork and science designed to combat the resurgence we are seeing of fascistic ideas in our current time. We are engaging in peaceful protests and are ordinary people from all political backgrounds that endorse a pluralistic, open and democratic society. To do so, we provide the means for anybody to start organizing events related to beating fascist ideas. We encourage all creatives, be it artists, musicians, writers, people engaged in theater, cabaret, comedy, circus and all others to contribute and promote their work, designed to break prejudices and promote democracy and freedom and promote it on this platform or exhibit and perform it as an event promoted by us. We seek to raise and provide resources for travel and venue for such events. Equally, we wish to promote and exhibit science that showcases both the invalidity of far-right wing ideas as well as the hardships faced by minorities and benefits of accommodating these. Mission
Our main objective is to actively counteract fascism and to bring about positive change by direct actions using creative, scientific and political means. We stand up for tolerance, diversity and justice and together we form an alliance for an open society, that is founded on the values of democracy and humanism. We furthermore wish to foster the exchange of ideas, collaborations and the use of political means to promote a diverse and just and inclusive society for everybody.

Creativity
Fight with arts and culture
With art, music, drama, movies and other creative ways to express something, we want to find ways to break through the beliefs held by and propelled by modern far right wing movements and render them by their exposure, by positive counteracting of prejudices and by holistic humanistic storytelling, impossible to maintain, first publicly and then on a personal level. By being creative, we not only perform where there is a void in their lives, we also attack the very foundations of fascist ideas - monotonous unity and the denial of the individual. Our aim is to use (all) art(s) to raise awareness for prejudices, injustices and hardships and to be attacking their consciousness.
Science
Factbased and educational
We promote and disseminate science that helps to understand the origins of far right wing ideologies, so that we can devise counter strategies, as well as science that helps to support and understand minorities and want to make use of the science to design and promote policies based on it.
Community
Strong together
Our community is the heart of ocsaf. We wish to contribute to unity and solidarity across the movement and in our meetings we welcome everybody who wishes to join our mission and stands up for basic democratic values, equality and respect for everybody. Every member plays an important role and we are dedicated to try to provide a warm, tolerant and welcoming atmosphere.
